Emilia Papadopoulos

Emilia is an award-winning television and radio journalist, presenter, and experienced event host with over 15 years of professional experience. She previously worked as a Senior Broadcast Journalist at the BBC and as a News Correspondent for BBC News, BBC London News, and BBC World. Her reporting has featured across BBC Breakfast, the BBC One O’Clock News, Outside Source, Radio 2, Radio 4, the BBC World Service, and BBC Radio 5 Live. She has also appeared as a guest presenter on Inside Out London.

Emilia began her career in sports journalism, joining BBC London Sport as a reporter and producer in 2009 after working with the Radio Wimbledon team and covering the World Rally Championships. She was part of the BBC’s 'London 2012 team', delivering coverage of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

During her time with BBC Sport, she covered many of the UK’s and world’s most high-profile sporting and cultural events, including the London Marathon, Wimbledon, Queen’s and the ATP World Tour Finals. She has also broadcast from the Champions League, Europa League, the Premier League, FA Cup, NFL at Wembley, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Epsom Derby, and the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. She also presented the BBC’s Inside Chelsea FC, West Ham FC, and Tottenham Hotspur FC podcasts.

Beyond sport, Emilia joined BBC News and went on to become a Correspondent working across the corporations outlets. She worked on a wide range of stories, from politics and home affairs to entertainment. She covered the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham in 2016 and 2017.

In 2015, Emilia was commended by the judges of the CIRCOM Prix Awards as European Rising Star Journalist of the year.

Emilia is a proud ambassador for Breast Cancer Haven and also a media trainer. She works with a variety of Corporate companies and executives to provide public speaking training and coaches individuals on how to communicate more confidently.
